Settlement Period:          March 1, 1995 – November 25, 2007
Claim Filing Deadline:     July 12, 2018

Overview

Businesses headquartered or incorporated in Illinois between March 1, 1995 and November 25, 2007 are eligible to participate in the $36 million Illinois Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) Settlement. This Settlement reimburses eligible businesses for prior purchases of TVs and computer monitors that contained CRT technology. CRTs were the prominent technology used as displays/screens in TVs and computer monitors before LCD, plasma, and LED technologies became prevalent.

Official Settlement documentation esitmates that this Settlement could pay up to $20 for each CRT TV and $60 per each CRT monitor. Actual recovery amounts could be less as the amount paid per product depends on the total volume of products submitted by eligible claimants.
